The New England Wine Industry Association would like to gratefully acknowledge the contribution the following oganisations have made to the ongoing development of the New England Wine Industry. Their involvement is very much appreciated and reflects the collaborative nature between business, community and government across the region.
Special mention should be made of the tireless and ongoing in-kind contribution made by the Annual New England Wine Show in its support of the New England Wine Industry and the way the event helps upskill producers and push for continual quality improvement of the industry. The New England Wine Show in turn is financially supported by Glen Innes Severn Council and the Glen Innes Tourist Association and is organised by the New England Wine Show Committee which is a sub-committee of the Glen Innes Show Society. The ongoing support for the industry by all those individuals involved and their organisations is highly appreciated.
NSW Department of Industry and DPC Regional
NSW Department of Industry assists businesses to grow sales, access new markets and expand operations. It also assists industry sectors pursue collaborative activities for the benefit of that industry as well as its individual members. DPC Regional delivers a one-stop-shop for State Governnment regional development activities. DPC Regional and NSW Dept Industry have been associated with the emerging New England wine industry for over 17 years and have seen the industry develop into a niche premium cool climate wine region. They are proud to be associated with the New England Wine Industry and its continual improvement activities and look forward to helping the regional industry develop further.
Armidale Dumaresq Council
The New England wine industry forms a significant part of the current Armidale tourism strategy with the region now being recognised for its premium cool climate wines. Visitors to New England High Country enjoy the finer things in life, whether that be wine, food, music or some of the superb national parks and wilderness areas.

Uralla Shire Council
With food and wine now such a vital part of the Australian tourism experience, the local wine industry has become an integral part of Uralla Shire Council’s tourism strategy. The introduction in 2012 of the Uralla Food & Wine Festival to the region’s events calendar has enabled Council to actively participate in spreading the word about New England’s premium cool climate wines. Uralla Shire Council is proud to be associated with the New England wine industry and support its continued development.

New England Wine Show, Glen Innes
The New England Wine Show Committee is pleased to represent producers in hosting thel New England Wine Show in Glen Innes. The Committee is committed to helping develop the wine industry in the region by providing an avenue for industry benchmarking and improvement. The Committee appreciates the financial support of the New England Wine Industry Association toward the event, as well as the in-kind support by grower representation on the organising committee. Grower input has helped ensure that the New England Wine Show is the signature judged wine event in the New England region. We urge all local producers to participate!
Regional Development Australia - Northern Inland (RDANI)
Regional Development Australia is a partnership between the Australian, State, Territory Governments linking in with Local Government, it aims to develop and strengthen the regional communities of Australia. As a unique conduit between these Governments and the regional communities it is ideally placed to support the long-term sustainability of Australia’s regions. Regional Development Australia – Northern Inland (RDANI) undertakes various regional development activities, one being a Food and Wine development project for the Northern Inland region. The project’s aim is to encourage the development of the food and wine industry by assisting in the collaboration between individual businesses in the New England – North West, towards a food and wine network. RDANI publishes a food and wine brochure as part of this initiative, the most recent publication was published in August 2012, showcasing the quality and strengths of the industry in this region.
The rich and unforgettably diverse flavours of the region are as distinct as its natural attractions and landscapes. The Northern Inland region is characterised by a diverse range of landscapes, from the sub-alpine to rolling plains, slopes and wetlands. It is enriched with a diverse range of natural wilderness resources including waterfalls, wild rivers, gorge country, spectacular landforms such as the Kaputar Ranges, Gibraltar Ranges, Washpool Wilderness area, open plains and tablelands.
Tenterfield Food and Wine Festival
The Tenterfield Food and Wine Festival is in its 6th year of bringing together food and wine producers of the New England Region to showcase their products to an ever appreciative audience. Food and wine lovers return year after year to meet the winemakers and vignerons whist sampling the new vintage and latest releases. The food is a mix of restaurant dishes made from locally sourced ingredients and produce direct from the farm gate. Taking place on the first weekend in November, the Tenterfield Food and Wine Festival is an event not to be missed. The Festival is proud to promote the region's award-winning wines.
